Parent Discussion
This week we continued our study of the Armour of God by learning about the Shoes of Peace. Soldiers used shoes – or boots – to give them traction, protection and a firm footing as they battled their enemy. God gives us the Shoes of Peace to provide us with the peace, or well-being, that comes to believers through the Gospel. We have peace knowing that our sins are forgiven, we can spend eternity with Christ and that God is in control during our time on Earth. This peace gives us a firm footing as we battle our enemy each day. Take some time this week to go through these discussion questions with your child:
1. If you had to walk on a hot street, would you rather go barefoot or wear shoes?
2. How do your shoes protect you?
3. How does God make you feel better, at peace, when you do something scary or dangerous?
