Parent Discussion

Today, we took time to honour father or men in your child’s life. God teaches us to honour our parents and that we will have a long and happy life. As parents we aren’t always perfect but we do know how to bless and give good gifts to our children. Then think about God, our PERFECT Father in heaven – He is ready to give good gifts to us, His children. We also discovered some great dads in the Bible, such as Abraham. The Bible says that from this one God-fearing and faithful man, came descendants as numerous as stars in the sky and as countless as the sand on the seashore.

Not every child has a dad that is around in their life and we want them to know that God knows exactly what they are going through. No matter what your family looks like, we are part of God’s family and we praise God for dads!

Spend some time this week discussing the following questions with  your child:

1. What does honour mean?
2. How can we celebrate our dads?
3. What do you love about your dad?
