Parent Discussion
Being wise means knowing the right thing and then doing it! The kids learned this teaching objective from the Bible story – The Temptation of Jesus. In this Bible story, Jesus choose to be wise by resisting Satan’s temptations. We want the kids to know that we can choose to be wise when we face temptations too!
In this Bible story, Jesus was being tempted, just like how sometimes we can be tempted to do certain things that we know we shouldn’t do. He resisted temptation. He chose to not to do the foolish things Satan was trying to get him to do. Jesus made the right choice by being wise!
Take some time to go through these discussion questions with your child. This will help reinforce our
teaching objective this week which is “I can choose to be wise.”
