Parent Discussion
In this week’s lesson, we looked at the Shield of Faith as part of our study of the Armor of God. Shields used by Roman soldiers were large, thick and almost door-like, able to protect their entire body from weapons of any kind. The Shield of Faith is our trust and confidence in God and His Word. It is the constant assurance that God is who
He says He is and He will do the things He said He would do. We are protected from the enemy when we trust in God and His Word, using it as a shield of protection. Spend some time this week discussing the following questions with your child.
1. What does a shield do?
2. How can you be shielded from evil?
3. What should you put your trust in?
