Parent Discussion

Today your child learned about the Bible story called Jesus Heals a Man Born Blind. Since birth this man  was born blind, so that God’s power could be shown through him, not because of anyone’s sin. When Jesus healed him, He told them about what happened to him. He shared the good thing Jesus did for him. He said, “I was blind, and now I can see!”.

When you don’t understand something, or you wonder how Jesus does miracles, you can do what the blind man did and share about the good things Jesus does for you, even if you wonder how they are possible. You can believe that Jesus is God’s Son and has the power to do all kinds of miracles.

Use these questions as a guide to talk over this week’s Bible story and remember the Big Idea: I can share the good things Jesus does for me!

1. How long had the man been blind?
2. Why was the man born blind?
3. What did Jesus make to put on the blind man’s eyes?
4. What happened when the man washed off the mud?
5. When people asked how it was possible, what did the man say?
6. When you don’t understand something, or you wonder how Jesus does miracles, what can you do?
