Parent Discussion
In this week’s lesson, we looked at the Breastplate of Righteousness as a part of our series studying the Armour of God. Body armour protects a soldier’s most vital organs, just as the Body Armour of Righteousness protects a Christ-follower’s heart. It empowers us to make good choices that are pleasing to God by protecting our hearts from the enemy’s advances. When we live a life surrendered to Christ and do what is right in His eyes, Satan can never harm us. Spend some time discussing the following questions with your child this week.
1. What is an example of a good choice? What is an example of a bad choice?
2. Satan wants you to make bad choices, but God wants you to make good choices. How do you know what is a good choice and what is a bad choice?
3. How does the Breastplate of Righteousness protect you from Satan?
