This week we continue our journey of Daring Faith! Today your child learned about David and how he trusted God to help him defeat Goliath. David was victorious because he trusted God for the victory, not his own abilities. God will help us when we face difficult situations if we trust in Him, for every battle is the Lord’s. God gifted David with unique talents and abilities to slay his giant and He has done the same for each of us. We can each develop our own “giant-slaying” faith if we trust in Him and always expect that He will bring His best.

1. Why did David have the confidence that he could defeat Goliath?

2. Saul offered David his armour to wear to battle, but David declined. Why?

3. David trusted God to fight for Him even in a seemingly impossible situation. Is there anything that seems impossible for God to fight in your life?

4. What are some things we can do to help us trust God more in our lives?
