Our Beliefs

The Bible

We believe in the inerrancy of the Old and New Testaments which are a complete revelation of God’s will for the salvation of men, and they constitute the divine and only rule of Christian faith and practice

God, Jesus Christ, Holy Spirit

We believe in one God, existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit;

We believe in Jesus Christ, the true God and true man, His virgin birth, His death, His resurrection and His coming again;

We believe the Holy Spirit is a divine person sent to indwell, guide, teach, empower the believer and, convict the world of sin, of righteousness and of judgment.

 Salvation

We believe that man was originally created in the image and likeness of God. He fell through disobedience, incurring thereby both physical and spiritual death. All men are born with a sinful nature, are separated from the life of God, and can be saved only through the atoning work of the Lord Jesus Christ. The portion of the impenitent and unbelieving is existence forever in conscious torment; and that of the believer, is everlasting joy and bliss;

 Salvation has been provided through the vicarious atonement of Jesus Christ for all men; and those who repent and believe in Him are born again of the Holy Spirit, receive the gift of eternal life, and become the children of God;

The Christian Life

We believe that sanctification is the work of the Holy Spirit by which the child of God is separated from sin unto God and is enabled to love God with all his heart and to walk in all his holy commandments blamelessly. Sanctification is initiated at the moment of justification and regeneration. Thereafter, there is progressive sanctification as a believer walks with God. This prepares for the crisis of entire sanctification when the believer presents himself a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God. The crisis of entire sanctification perfects the believer in love and empowers him for effective service. It is followed by a life long growth in grace and the knowledge of Jesus Christ and a life of holiness;

The Church

We believe that provision is made in the redemptive work of the Lord Jesus Christ for the healing of The Church believes that the Church consists of all those who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, are redeemed through His blood, and are born again of the Holy Spirit. Christ is the head of the body, the Church, which has been commissioned by him to go into the entire world as a witness, preaching the Gospel to all nations. The local church is a body of believers in Christ who are joined together for the worship of God, for edification through the Word of God, for prayer, fellowship, the proclamation of the Gospel, and observance of the ordinances of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper;

Spiritual Gifts

We believe the gift of the tongues is one of the gifts of the Spirit, and it may be present in the normal Christian assembly as a sovereign bestowal of the Holy Spirit upon such as He wills.

The Church does not hold that speaking in an unknown tongue or the gift of tongues is the evidence of the baptism of the Holy Spirit and that it is the plan of God that all Christians shall possess the gift of tongues. The gift is one of many and is given to some for the benefit of all. Only a language readily understood by the congregation is to be used in public worship.

Human Destiny

We believe that there shall be a bodily resurrection of the just unto life and of the unjust unto judgment; and

Return of Jesus Christ

We believe that the certainty of the personal and imminent return of Christ inspires holy living and zeal for the evangelisation of the world. At His return He will fulfil all prophecies made concerning His final and complete triumph over evil.
