Our Story
New Life Evangelical Church (NLEC) was founded by a team of Chinese migrants with the heart to reach out to the local Chinese living in Melbourne, Australia. Through the Gospel, many families came to know Christ and His love and the community grew.
Our first senior pastor started to see that the next generation of young people in NLEC would also need to hear and express the gospel in a way which was empowering and engaging. In 2003, NLEC English began, carrying with it, the heart to believe that God speaks vibrantly to the modern world and that the Gospel was relevant to the culture around us.
Throughout the years, God has blessed us with incredible people, staff, leaders and volunteers within our community. We have witnessed lives changed by God throughout the years and firmly believe that in Christ, we have the best for our life now, and forever.
