Read (20 mins):
Read Genesis 16
How do you see Abram, Sarai and Hagar respond to hopeless situations in this story?
Where do we see signs of hope in this story? What is the source of that hope?
All the characters in this story feel hopeless, but their responses differ because some have more power and options than others. How do you see similar sorts of situations/responses in the world or in your own life?
What is the hope that God brings to life? How does this speak to the hopelessness that is so prevalent in the world?
