(5 mins)<\/li>\n<li>Share with the group what God has been speaking to you. Is there a challenge for you? Have you been impressed with a particular characteristic of God? (10 mins).<\/li>\n<li>Pray together, responding to what God has been showing you in this Psalm. (5 mins)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Read (20 mins):<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Read John 8:12<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>What does it mean to walk in darkness? (<em>You may consider the surrounding story up to chapter 9. How was the woman caught in adultery walking in darkness? How were the Pharisees walking in darkness? How was the blind man walking in darkness?<\/em>)<\/li>\n<li>Consider your life and your immediate sphere of influence. Where do you see darkness? Are there situations where you are walking in darkness?<\/li>\n<li>What does it mean that Jesus is the light of the world? How does Jesus\u2019 light affect the dark situations you are in? Are there areas that you don\u2019t want Jesus\u2019 light to shine?<\/li>\n<li>How can the light of Jesus in our lives affect the situations around us? What is our role in that? How can we be active and yet not become overwhelmed?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Respond (20 mins):<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Spend a few minutes in personal reflection. What is the Holy Spirit impressing on your heart? (3 mins)<\/li>\n<li>Take time to share how the Holy Spirit is challenging you. How can you be accountable to each other? Consider keeping a record for the purposes of prayer and accountability.
